About Edmonton Karate
The Edmonton Traditional Karate Club is a non-profit organization teaching Okinawan Meibukan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do. This hard-and-soft style stresses the traditional approach of Karate-do training as opposed to North American sport karate.

Traditional Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate-do training is strenuous and disciplined. The emphasis is on repetitious practice of basic technique and kata. This intense and demanding training affords our students the best long term results.

The Edmonton Traditional Karate Club is a non-profit club, it is run by Mr Yves Paquette who is the senior student of Sensei Hing Poon Chan the Canadian representative of Master Anthony Mirakian.

Mr Yves Paquette started his training at the age of 15 under Sensei Hing Poon Chan of Ottawa, Ont.
